You Don’t Have To Spend A Fortune To Try Out Oprah’s Favourite Snack

It’s not a fancy caviar (of any kind), or a even gold-plated dessert sundae. Oprah Winfrey may be a millionaire but some of her food choices are a hundred percent relatable and real. According to Food & Wine, the media mogul recently developed a liking for Auntie Anne’s pretzel-wrapped hot dogs, a.k.a. pretzel dogs. Yes, the one from the popular mall kiosk.

All credits for getting Oprah addicted to this snack goes to Ava DuVernay, who introduced Winfrey to the hot dogs while shooting for A Wrinkle In Time. Apparently, “she’d never had one before, and now she loves them”, reports The Cut.

Auntie Anne’s is mostly popular for its traditional soft pretzels, however, for the uninitiated (read, all of you living under a giant medieval rock), the popular chain also has some really amazing original beverages and bites on its menu. Case in point, the pretzel-wrapped hot dog, which is special not just because it has found a fan in Oprah but also because it brings together two of the most incredible snacks of all times – hot dogs and pretzels. And if you haven’t tried it yet, you’re missing out on a lot!
